We welcome the Class of 1966, the newest members of the 50+ Honor Years. This year’s 50+ luncheon is on Saturday June 24th, if you are a member of this group we hope to can join us.
This year we mailed out 1,826 first class letters to 50+ classmates. If you are a member of this group and have not received yours please let us know your current address so that we can update our database. There is a copy of this year mailing attached to this email. I would like to give a special “thank you” to the 50+ class coordinators that helped with their class mailing: Phil Swarthout class of 1955, Gladys Wood Swarthout class of 1956, Delores Amidon Ackerman and Judy Cooper class of 1960, Brian Gray class of 1962, Ursula Reynolds Gray class of 1963 and Gail Ackerman class of 1965.
If you have been a class coordinator in the past and want to remain in that position please let us know. If you have not been your class’s coordinator but would like to be please let us know. It is important to us to keep our addresses updated as newer years become 50+ and in the event that in the future we may again have the means to host all honor year classes. Until that time we encourage all classes to hold individual private get-togethers the last weekend in June. Please keep us up to date and let us know if you have a facebook page for your class year.
We are proud to be able to award 5 scholarships a year to WHS current graduates that are children of WHS alumni. In our 35 years we have awarded 149 scholarships totaling $66,400. Your support of the annual weekend, dues and donations have made this extraordinary accomplishment possible.
Visit us at www.wnyhsaa.com where we have yearbooks, photo albums, InMemoriam pages and class pages by class year as well as scrapbooks and much more history of our school.
Thank you for supporting your Alumni Association.
