Miss Helena M. Sullivan, 103, West Palm Beach and Lake George, NY, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 following a brief illness. Miss Sullivan was born August 16, 1907 in Potter County, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Jane (Flanagan) Sullivan and she moved to the West Palm Beach area in 1978 from Miami, FL. She graduated from Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing in 1933 and worked as a registered nurse until her retirement in 1979 but remained active in local nursing associations. She was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and Senior Club. She is predeceased by her sisters, Florence, Lucille Schultz; brothers, John, Hugh, T. Robert, Bernard and William Francis. Miss Sullivan is survived by her loving sister, Marguerite Congleton of West Palm Beach; and generations of nephews, nieces and honorary nephews and nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial for Miss Sullivan will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach with Father Andrew Brierley as celebrant. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Lake George Emergency Squad, 24 Gage Road, Lake George, NY 12845 or Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
